Speaker Singles Conference
Harold Ivan Smith is a wordsmith and story teller,
whether through his speaking, teaching, writing, or
counselling. He takes words and leads listeners and
readers to say, "I never quite thought of it that way
before." He was a founding member of the Network of
Single Adult Leaders and was the first Director for
Single Adult Ministries in the Church of Nazarene. He is
the author of books on the single life such as "51 Good
Things To Do While Waiting for the Right One to Come
Along", "Singles Ask". He has authored many other books.
He is a single adult and lives in Kansas City, MO. |

for more than twenty years as the Singles Coordinator in
the District of Texas and Oklahoma States. He speaks
with passion and compassion. He is engaging, warm,
humorous, informative and energetic. He keeps his
message simple. He currently serves as Associate Pastor
at First Assemblies of God, Lawton, Oklahoma. |

Gene Fox - Workshop Speaker
Gene Fox and his wife Grace direct International Messengers Canada (IM) – an evangelical, interdenominational missions organization known for its creative short-term and career opportunities primarily in eastern Europe. Prior to working with IM, Gene served for 11 years as Program Director at Camp Homewood, a year-round Christian camp on Quadra Island. He also worked for 15 years as a civil engineer, including three years doing economic development in Nepal. His favorite activities are sailing and motor biking.
Gene will be conducting a workshop during Saturday on how singles may serve in long and short term missions with International Messengers. |

Linda Pender - Workshop Speaker
Linda
will be back for the third year in a row. She is
back due to popular demand. Linda is a single
person and she brings more than 20 years of experience
working with singles and singles’ groups. She is a
counselor and a noted conference speaker. Her speaking
engagements have brought her to many areas of Canada and
the USA. She comes to us from the Seattle Washington
area and will be conducting several workshops such as
"How to walk in Godly sexuality" and "Betrayed -
Rejected - Freedom". Her
passion is to help those who are caught in the turmoil
of fear and distress. She is an encourager! |

Debbie Pratt - Workshop Speaker
Debbie shares a warm insight into issues facing today's
women. She loves to encourage women in understanding
their value to God and finding true joy and fulfillment
in their relationship with Him. More than anything else
she loves to see lives flourish and transformed by the
power of God! Debbie is also a Certified Praise Moves
Instructor. Praise Moves is the Christian alternative to
Yoga. |

Anna Dos Santos – Workshop Speaker
Anna Dos Santos is a life strategist and counselor who was born and raised in South Africa. Presently she is the Executive Director of ADS Life and Career and Strategies in Langley, B.C. and President of the Canadian Association of Whole Brain Practitioners. She is a journalist writing a weekly newspaper column and hosted a radio talk show which was called “The Other Story”. Currently she is the e-life coach for two international web magazines. She will be giving one general lecture and one workshop at the Conference.

Crystal Hicks – Worship Leader
We are very pleased to have Crystal Hicks and her group lead the Worship throughout the weekend. She is considered as one of the top worship leaders in British Columbia.
Crystal has had many opportunities to use her singing ability, traveling extensively throughout Canada and the U.S., as well as making several television appearances. She has performed at the Orpheum Theatre in Vancouver with the Trinity Western Choirs and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and has been a guest performer with the Canadian Tenors. She has many opportunities to minister as a guest worship leader, speaker and soloist at churches, retreats, conferences and Christian Women’s Clubs.
Crystal is originally from the Bahamas but now resides in Abbotsford, B.C. For the past thirteen years she has been Worship and Arts Leader at the Abbotsford Evangelical Free Church. |

Justin Ver Berg - Ventriloquist
The Saturday Evening Banquet will have a show stopper, Justin Ver Berg and his sidekick Guido to entertain. Guido keeps audiences rolling with laughter.
The two have headlined at major theatres, corporate events even performing for the International Ventriloquist Convention. During a stint as a broker at the Chicago Board of Trade, Ver Berg came to the conclusion that the rush of making people laugh is much more thrilling than watching oil prices hover at ridiculous highs. The Executive Hotel will not be the same after this Saturday night! |
